Studio - Line and Color

One of the techniques automotive designers would use to create renderings of future models was to begin with a blank sheet of colored paper then add line and shadow, highlights and other colors. In the thirties.GM hired Harley Earl to open up a new department called the Art and Colour Section. Soon Ford, Chrysler and the other manufacturers followed and automotive styling became as important as the engineering. Your classic car would look nice in the den as artwork reminiscent of the styling exercises from the design studios of the late thirties through sixties.
