Bubble Car 21st Century
"Bubble Car" Of the 21st Century. In the fifties there were what was called bubble cars coming out of Germany. They were from Messerschmitt and BMW. Mercedes Benz post war was considered a top line luxury car by many that the company was forced into a crash program to produce high end cars. Messerschmidtt and BMW on the other hand were under no motivation to keep up that sort of image and were merely trying to stay alive as well as provide the German people with badly needed transportation after the allied bombing had deviated their manufacturing and transportation capabilities. Today the bubble car has appeal as an inexpensive, light and economical intra city transport device.
